Jessica Simpson dumped on her 29th birthday

Jessica Simpson is said to be 'heartbroken' after her American footballer boyfriend dumped her on the night before her 29th birthday.

The singer cancelled her Barbie and Ken-themed party celebrations after Tony Romo called time on their relationship.

The pretty blonde is said to be 'heartbroken' after describing Tony as 'the love of my life' and the man she wanted to have children with.

But the star's Twitter blog gave no indication of her heartbreak, reading: 'Barbie party didn't happen, but I turned 29 and feel like I am on top of the world yelling I LOVE GETTING OLDER.'

A source told US magazine: 'She loves Tony. But it's been difficult lately.

'He's busy with his career and she's getting ready to shoot her show [The Price Of Beauty]. They decided to part ways.'  

On the night of Jessica's party the Dallas Cowboy was seen partying with the boys at Hollywood hotspot MyHouse.

The pair had been dating since November 2007.
