Courteney Cox and David Arquette WILL star in Scream 4

Courteney Cox and David Arquette have confirmed they will be reprising their roles in the Scream movie franchise – for a fourth film in the scary series.

'We're going to be doing Scream 4,' David Arquette told E! Online.

'Kevin Williamson is writing the script at this moment, and hopefully Wes Craven is going to direct.'

In the original movie series, Courteney Cox played sensationalist TV reporter Gayle Weathers, while David portrayed goofy police deputy Dewey Riley.

The married couple fell in love on the set of the first movie in 1996.

And will we see a return of Neve Campbell as Sidney?

'I hope Neve does it. I really hope so,' said David.
