She may be working it to the max in her new ads for high street giant Mango, but Scarlett Johansson could be lining herself up for another role - motherhood - with news that her husband, Ryan Reynolds, hopes to adopt.

The A-list actress and her hubby Reynolds tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Canada last year and have successfully avoided the media glare, rarely appearing in public together.

However, the Definitely Maybe actor has opened up about life with his leading lady, revealing his hopes to adopt.

'My oldest brother is adopted and I have every intention of adopting at some time,’ admitted Reynolds.

‘I'm very grateful for having my brother in my life,' the 32-year-old said.

'I couldn't be more pro-adoption. There are plenty of kids in the world that need it,' he added.

While Reynolds has aired his dreams of becoming a dad, Scarlett is currently hot on the Mango promotional trail, launching the store’s autumn/winter ’09 collection in Spain yesterday, in her trademark sexy secretary style - a high-waisted black pencil skirt and indigo chiffon blouse.
