Where is Michael Jackson’s body?

Michael Jackson's Funeral

Michael Jackson has not yet been buried, and his final resting place remains a mystery, according to reports.

His family have not returned his body to the cemetery where they held a private service before the star-studded memorial on Tuesday night, which was watched by a billion people worldwide.

The £15,000 gold-plated coffin holding his body his thought to be in storage while his family decide on a final burial plot.

There are also rumours some family members would like to wait for the return of his brain, removed for testing during the autopsy.

LA assistant chief coroner Ed Winter said: 'As soon as we are done with the brain, we will return it.'

Winter added that families sometimes delay burying a loved one until after the brain has been returned, but the Jacksons have not disclosed their intentions.

They are said to be at loggerheads as to where to bury the pop legend.

Many of Jackson's brothers, including Jermaine, want him laid to rest at his former home, Neverland Ranch, near Santa Barbara in California.

But they need permits to allow a burial there and local authorities have warned it could take weeks for permission to come through, if at all.

His mother Katherine, who has temporary custody of his children Prince Michael, Paris, and Prince Michael II, is keen on a local burial near the family home in the LA suburb of Encino.

Wherever Jackson is finally buried, it is believed that his coffin will be encased in concrete to prevent damage from grave robbers.

I don't know what is taking so long to bury Michael.

My theory is that his body is being prepared for a worldwide tour....just like Evita, they'll make millions and fill stadiums across the world.
