Madonna's Michael Jackson tribute
By Carla Bevan on Monday 6 July 2009
Madonna paid tribute to Michael Jackson this weekend as she kicked off the final London leg of her year-long Sticky & Sweet tour.
Appearing at the O2 on Saturday night, the Material Girl played a medley of MJ hits with one of her dancers, dressed in true King of Pop-style, moon-walking the stage.
The tribute was one of the high points in a high-octane show, which had the crowd on its feet from (hour-late) start to finish.
However, the Michael Jackson tribute wasn't the only new addition to Madonna's performance; she also found room in her money-can't-buy wardrobe for a new outfit from Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci. The haute couture outfit, which featured a silk satin cropped jacket covered in tulle and jet stone fringes, was given its debut in London this weekend to accompany a new set list.
