FIRST INTERVIEW: Peter Andre talks Katie split

Peter Andre has opened up about the breakdown of his marriage to Katie Price in his first interview since their split.

Speaking to Chris Moyles on Radio 1 to promote his musical comeback, the singer said he'd had 'the worst three months' of his life.

He said: 'I'm not going to lie. It's been the worst two or three months of my life. But then again, you've got to get on with it really.

'There's a lot to it. I definitely knew what I had to do.'

The singer refused to divulge the exact reasons behind the split, but hinted that were a few.

'I'm obviously never mentioning the reasons, but there's not just one reason.'

And, despite being spotted wearing a ring on his wedding finger earlier today, he said there was no chance of a reconciliation.

'No. No, what's done is done.'

But he said he'll always have feelings for Katie, adding: 'She's the mother of my kids, there's always going to be love there but that's it.'

The star, who's just released his first comeback single, Behind Closed Doors, did say he would like to be friends with Jordan again.

'For the sake of my children I very much hope so. I can see us being friends again. For every bad [thing] that somebody has, there's a lot of good.'

And what about his thoughts on those public Ibiza antics?

'I don't want the kids to grow up and read about it and I don't want her to feel that pain,' he said.

'I want it to be forgotten about.'

He added: 'Let's not forget that there are far bigger problems in the world.'

And when asked if he'd thought about dating again, Peter said he's just not in that zone, admitting: 'My head's not even gone there yet.'

He added: 'The hardest bit of all of this is the acceptance and when you can accept it then you can move forward.

'I'm just going through the acceptance bit now.'
