Susan Boyle to appear in Ugly Betty

She was an unlikely singing star and, with a role on hit US show Ugly Betty on the cards, Susan Boyle could now be set to be an acting star, too.

The Britain's Got Talent hit, nicknamed SuBo, has been offered a cameo role alongside fellow bushy-browed star America Ferrera (Betty).

A source told The Sun: 'Susan has been bombarded with offers of work in America, but this is something she is really keen on and we hope to make happen.

'She will definitely play herself.'

Scottish Susan became an overnight sensation across the pond when Demi Moore twittered on her BGT performance.

And she was due to jet Stateside for a promotional tour following the BGT final until her emotional breakdown scuppered the plans – and left her staying at The Priory for four days.

She is now saving all her energy for recording her debut album, but wants to follow in the footsteps of Victoria Beckham and Naomi Campbell by making the TV cameo.

Susan's spokeswoman said: 'Susan has many offers on the table. At the moment she is looking forward to recording her album.'
