Katie and Peter sign up for rival reality TV shows

Katie Price and Peter Andre's divorce is set to be played out on TV as the couple sign up for rival reality shows.

The warring couple have both signed separate deals with ITV for new reality TV shows, which will document their divorce and lives as newly-single stars.

The channel is reportedly even planning to schedule the shows for the same time slot on different ITV channels to create a direct ratings battle.

A spokesman told the Daily Mail: 'Katie has signed a separate deal and will be filming her own show.'

Peter Andre's spokeswoman, Claire Powell, confirmed: 'We're already filming the show, I've just followed Peter to Macau in China, which was absolutely amazing.

'It did him the world of good, and it was so nice to see him smile again.'

In fact, it looks like Pete's career is on fire again since the split, with his single Call The Doctor being the most requested track on iTunes since he performed it on stage in front of 600 million viewers.

Another report has suggested the Aussie singer has signed a £1.1 million deal to star in a Bollywood movie.

Katie, meanwhile, this weekend celebrated their son Junior's fourth birthday with a barbeque at her Surrey home, where she reportedly told a fellow guest that she is 'so over' Pete, adding: 'Today has been about moving on with my life. It's been really hard but I think I'm getting here.'

I agree - I hope Peter comes really well out of this, I've never been particularly interested but he always comes across as a genuinley nice guy - she appeared to always treat him horribly so I hope he does well without her.

Instead of being so obsessed and publicity seeking, it's high time they considered the children in all of this. They are all too young to have had a say in whether they wanted their lives played out on TV, and it looks set to continue now with their parents never ending quest for more money, publicity and so-called fame. It's about time they pulled the plug on it and considered the best interests of their children first, instead of being so self-obsessed. After all, it didn't do m uch for Kerry Katona either, did it? When will they all learn?

for gooodness sake kate do you not realise when you well off,,,,,,,,,how many women would give their right arm for the luv of a man like pete......its called growing up,and growing up is whats required here as yr days of flashy jordan are gone yr 31 now not 24, and its a high price (no pun intended)youve chosen instead of giving ye kids a great home life with loving parents
