Kate Hudson IS dating Madonna ex

Things are reportedly hotting up between Kate Hudson and new beau, baseball star Alex Rodriguez.

The couple were first spotted together in New York last month, and now a source has confirmed to People that things have moved beyond a quick fling.

'It's somewhat serious,' the snitch revealed. 'He introduced her to a bunch of his friends.'

Rodriguez, dubbed A-Rod, hit the headlines late last year, after becoming embroiled in an are-they-aren't-they romance with Madonna. The affair reportedly led to the end of his marriage, and coincided with the Material Girl's divorce from Guy Ritchie.

But sources are now claiming he has finally found happiness with Hudson.

The sports star would not be the first high profile romance for the actress. She previously dated Lance Armstrong, and had a tumultuous on-again-off-again relationship with Owen Wilson.
