Jennifer Hudson pregnant

After the tragic murders of her mother, brother and nephew, Jennifer Hudson now has a reason to celebrate: she is pregnant.

The Dreamgirls star even enjoyed a baby shower this weekend to celebrate, according to the Chicago Tribune.

One of Hudson's closest girlfriends, Felicia Fields, told the paper the bash happened on Saturday.

She said: 'It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family.

'They're really trying to keep it kind of quiet.'

Well it's not-so-quiet now! But when asked if Jennifer received blue or pink gifts, Felicia said: 'They don't know [the gender]. More yellow.'

Jennifer's rep had no comment, but another paper, The Chicago Sun Times, has reported that she is already seven months into the pregnancy.

The Oscar-wining star is engaged to Harvard-educated lawyer David Otunga.
