Elle Macpherson has, quite literally, managed to turn the marieclaire.co.uk desk green with envy. The stunning star last night stole the show in a gorgeous LBD at the launch party of her new TV programme, The Beautiful Life.

With her honey-hued, tousled locks, perfect age-defying figure, and an LBD to end all LBDs, she rocketed straight back up to the top of our we-want-to-be-you list.

And who was the LBD in question designed by? Why, our very own Victoria Beckham. Elle brought to life one of her spring 2009 creations and, credit where credit is due, we love it.

The supermodel will appear alongside Mischa Barton in a new US drama, The Beautiful Life, about models living in New York, which is produced by Demi Moore’s hubby, Ashton Kutcher.

One partygoer told the Daily Mail: ‘She looked unbelievably gorgeous, radiant and had a absolutely killer smile, too, showing she seems happy.’

Since splitting with French millionaire Arpad Busson – with whom she has two children and who is now engaged to her former pal, Uma Thurman – Elle has enjoyed a string of dates with a handful of men, including Guy Ritchie and American property investor, Jeff Soffer.

She's yet to settle into a permanent relationship, but one thing’s for sure: there couldn’t be a more perfect person to star in a show called The Beautiful Life.
