Myleene set to present U.S. I'm A Celebrity

By Natalia Lubomirski  on Wednesday 20 May 2009

Myleene Klass

Myleene Klass has been offered £100,000 by TV giants NBC to present the American version of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Despite being a virtual unknown in the States, the beautiful brunette is set to bolster her £4million fortune by fronting the prime time reality TV show.

The show, set in Costa Rica, will air across the pond from 1 June with a 15-episode run.

If Myleene takes up the challenge, she will have to jump on a plane this weekend, but UK work commitments could hamper her plans. The TV face will have to negotiate her way out of these if she is to pursue her dream of cracking America.

Ms Klass currently has contracts in the UK with Channel 4, Classic FM and M&S. She would need to delay projects with these three companies until her return.

According to a close source, the 31-year-old sees the offer as a great opportunity and is ‘very keen to sign up’.

NBC is said to have taken a shine to the former pop star after seeing her work on CNN movie programme The Screening Room.

If Klass is successful, she will join the growing group of British stars who have already made a name for themselves across the pond including Cat Deeley, Ashley Jensen and Anna Friel.
