Peaches Geldof and Paris Hilton are NBFs in Cannes

We’re already accustomed to Paris Hilton’s unexplained appearances at random showbiz events, but now it seems Peaches Geldof is getting in on the IT girl action, teaming up with the heiress at the Domino party in Cannes.

Renowned partygirls, it’s no wonder the pair migrated towards one another for an opportune paparazzi moment; Peaches ditching her down-time grunge for a more groomed look in scarlet red satin and Paris upping the ante in a strapless sequinned minidress.

Note who is wearing the partygirl crown, though – Queen Paris clearly reigns supreme.

Spotted gossiping at the starry party at the House of Cannes, the dubious duo were seen cosying up in a corner – doubtless sharing top tips on where to be seen and who with at the Cannes Film Festival.

The real glamour on the night came courtesy of stunning hostess Penelope Cruz, dressed head-to-toe in French Riviera white with silver embellishment. The actress is in town to promote her new movie Broken Embraces.

And while the flashbulbs were set alight by Paris and Peaches’ performance, the hot talking point on the marieclaire.co.uk desk came thanks to stunning model Miranda Kerr and her beau Orlando Bloom.

Although Monsieur Bloom is undoubtedly the more famous face of the pair, Miranda well and truly stole the show in a draped tangerine backless dress, a metallic clutch and loose locks. Orlando, on the other hand, rather let the side down – since when did geek office boy chic become a Cannes Film Festival fashion favourite?
