Jade’s best friend reveals her last moments

Jade Goody’s closest friend has revealed intimate details of her final moments, telling how she begged to be taken to a suicide clinic and grasped his hand as she passed away.

Kevin Adams, personal trainer to the stars and one of Jade’s best friends, revealed how he sat up with the TV star late into the night and at 3am on Mother’s Day recited the Lord’s Prayer as Jade’s cancer took over and she began to lose her battle.

‘I sat looking at her. She looked beautiful and at peace.  Her face was immaculate.Had I not known better I would have thought she was just sleeping,’ he said.

Adams supported Jade as she underwent regular chemotherapy treatments and revealed her wish to be taken to an assisted suicide clinic when the pain became too much.

However, in true Jade Goody style, her geography knowledge was muddled and the star demanded to be taken to Sweden, rather than Switzerland where the well known Dignitas suicide clinic is actually based.

Adams, a father-of-two said: ‘Chemo was traumatic. It was so emotional. We’d sit and talk for hours then fall asleep, comfortable in the knowledge that neither of us would be offended that the other was having 40 winks.’

He also revealed that on discovering she had terminal cancer, Jade was simultaneously receiving hate mail.

‘Jade was crying hysterically and struggled to cope with the horror of it all.

‘I snatched the note out of her hand and threw it away. It’s funny how things always happen to Jade. It didn’t rain, it poured.’
