Liz Hurley recycles six-year-old dress
By Kate Matharu on Friday 1 May 2009
If fashion doyenne Anna Wintour has done it, then recycling your red carpet frock has officially been given the green light and Liz Hurley proved she’s not afraid to salvage a thigh-slashing gown, six years after she first wore it.
Hurley reached to the back of her (undoubtedly) vast wardrobe for her latest public outing, the annual Hot Pink charity party in New York, for her silk satin fuchsia pink gown, which she first wore on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival back in 2003.

Proving that the credit crunch can effect everyone, Ms Hurley stepped out in the stunning number, showing off her renowned curves and proving that six years hasn’t added a pound to her svelte physique.
The 43-year-old, who attends the annual breast cancer event every year as a spokeswoman of Estee Lauder’s Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, looked radiant, this time with longer, flowing tresses, but similar minimal make-up. With a subtle, soft smokey eye, cheeks were a peachy shade and lips nude and glossy.
While the frock remained the same, Liz accessorised with a different pair of diamond drop earrings, a silver box clutch and chunkier silver platform heels. So the economic crisis hasn’t hit too hard then..!

She actually looks better now than the first time she wore it.

Oh my god, she has worn the same outfit twice in a decade! The shame of it!....

I do not understand what the problem is with celebs wearing the same outfits more than once??? So what?

At last, some sense - re-using a dress that must have cost a bomb. I thought we were encouraged to buy "investment pieces", so it's hardly salvage as stated in the article! She looks fab.

Good luck to anyone who can fit into a dress from 6 years ago!
