Sean Penn files for divorce

Sean Penn has filed for divorce from his wife Robin Wright Penn – just a year after they got back together.

The Oscar-winning actor filed for separation just days after the couple's 13th anniversary.

The Milk star is seeking joint physical and legal custody of their two children, 18-year-old daughter Dylan, and 15-year-old son Hopper.

Penn first filed for divorce in December 2007 but, after a four-month break and a brief liaison with James Blunt's ex Petra Nemcova, the couple gave things another go.

But rumours of a rift surfaced again in February, when the actor failed to mention his wife in his Best Actor Oscar acceptance speech.

And just last month, it was rumoured the actor was romancing Natalie Portman – but sources have since denied this to be true.
