It's official: British group Blur will be performing together again for the first time in nine years at London’s Hyde Park open air show on 3 July.

After a string of rumours last year and supposed practices Blur guitarist, Graham Coxon, has revealed that the band are well ahead with their rehearsal schedule for their summer return.  ‘We’re pretty much there now.  If we needed to go on stage tomorrow we could’.

Coxon, who famously left the band in 2002 during the recording of their album Think Tank, will join fellow bandmates Damon Albarn, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree on stage in July. There are also rumours that the foursome will make an appearance at Glastonbury.

Since the group’s split all members have pursued individual projects with equal success. From Albarn's achievements with animated group Gorillaz to James' documentary endeavours with the BBC.

Meanwhile, another British group is set to reform as The Sun reveals that Blue will announce their reunion tomorrow. The boy band achieved success in the early Noughties, boasting multi-million sales and three No.1s.

The All Rise boys Anthony Costa, Simon Webbe and Lee Ryan, who split five years ago, are reportedly set for another crack at the charts.  But they may have their work cut out to persuade fellow Blue boy Duncan James who is keen to pursue his acting ambitions.
