Jamie and Jools Oliver are this morning celebrating the birth of their third daughter, whom they've called, wait for it, Petal Blossom Rainbow.

Yep, the floral theme has continued, and little Petal – who weighed in at 6lbs 10oz – is new sister to Daisy and Poppy.

Petal entered the world at 2.46am this morning at the Portland Hospital in London.

And mum and celebrity chef dad are delighted.

A spokesman for the family said: 'Petal was born at the Portland Hospital in Central London, weighed in at 6lb 10oz and both she and Jools are doing well.

'The Olivers would like to thank midwives Linda Ordish and Elaine Porter and also obstetrician William Dennis for their wonderful help and support.

'Jamie and Jools are both completely smitten with Petal already and Jamie is looking forward to two weeks' paternity leave to spend quality time with his four beautiful girls.'

Aww. Congratulations!

First of all: poor child, to be saddled with such a ridiculous name! Poppy and Daisy are adorable names, but Petal Blossom Rainbow? Couldn't they have thought about how much she'll be mocked for that before they put it on the birth certificate?

And two weeks paternity leave? From where? He's a millionaire. (And rightly so ... I love his cook books!!)

I also have three girls whom I have called Daisy , Lily and Poppy. Thank God Jamie and Jools has stopped copying me and branched out on thier own this time.Jools looks great , good on you for showing off your post baby bely and giving us normal mums a bit of a break.

Ahh what a lovely name to call such a beautiful little baby. I've often called my toddler that because he is soo beautiful and small, like a petal.
