Jade's final letter to sons
By Lucy Hutchings on Wednesday 1 April 2009
Jade Goody's poignant last letter to her two sons, written in the weeks leading up to her death, is to be published to raise funds for cancer sufferers.
A book, entitled Remember Me This Way, will go on sale next Monday to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care, and contains the letter, as well as a picture album of images that the reality TV star compiled for her two boys, Freddie, 5 and Bobby, 4.
The letter reads, 'Dear Bobby and Freddie - I have asked for this book to be made so that when you are older, you can remember just how much fun we had.
'I thank God that we made the most of our time together and I treasure the moments we shared.'
Featuring hundreds of photos of the reality TV star, the album includes intimate family holiday shots of Jade and the boys in Abu Dhabi last year, and snaps of Jade and Jack paddling on a trip to Wales.
'These are my most precious memories,' the letter explained. 'Some person much wiser than me once said that if you never discovered something you would die for, then you haven’t lived.
'Well, you are both proof that I have lived. I will love you always. Mummy.'

Whatever anybody has though of Jade, you can't take away what an amazing young woman she has proved herself to be in these last few months. I cannot imagine how difficult it must have been to prepare herself for her death and try to prepare a future for those she loved. RIP Jade, your boys will certainly know what a wonderful mum you were

Whilst I can understand Jades reasons for the book being published I do feel that it would've been much nicer for her two sons to be able to have this for their eyes only.
She wrote that letter to her two boys so they know how much she loved and treasured them and how is it ever going to be used for that when the world and his wife have read it.

People may have judged Jade when she was alive as an airhead and I was probably among those people I saw what was portrayed in the media and made a decision about her that wasnt not founded on truth just media hype.
I am sorry to have judged the women so harshly I feel much sadness for Jade's family and I know her boys will miss her forever. I hope that this book can bring them a little smile in the future when they look back at their mum and the lengths she went to in her last months to provide a secure future for her beloved babies.Rest in peace Jade.

Jade's boys will live with the knowledge that their mum thought about them till the very end and I'm sure this book will give them great comfort knowing they were loved so much by Jade! R.I.P. my love xxx

Much I applaud Jade's efforts to earn money for her sons and raise money for / awareness of screening / treatment for cervical cancer, I find this really tasteless. Is there nothing at all left private fo her friends and family? And what is this endless appetite amongst sections of the public for details of this family's suffering?

I agree with Dyson. Jades life and death were very much in the public eye but the letters should have remained private. There are countless other ways of raising money, this is scraping the barrel. The boys should be protected from all of this.

I think Jade was a fantastic lady and despite what everyone may have thought about her, she has really thought about her boys all the way. If i have to go through anything like that, I dont know how I would be able to focus and cope with everything.
May she rest in peace and if nothing else, it has made everyone more aware of cancer smears and how important they really are.
