Jack to auction Jade's clothes
By Ruth Doherty on Friday 27 March 2009
Jade Goody’s grieving husband Jack Tweed has vowed to auction off her clothes to raise money for cancer charities.
Jack is set to clear out Jade’s Essex home after her funeral on 4 April and, apart from keeping a few of her prized possessions, he will either give her clothes to Cancer Research shops or sell them off to raise cash for Marie Curie nurses, who cared for Jade around the clock in the days before she died at 27 on 22 March.
Jack said he and Jade talked about what to do with her stuff when she was gone.
A source told The Sun: ‘She told him to give it away to shops or sell it — as long as the money went to a good cause.
‘Obviously he wants to help with cancer charities and is looking to hold some sort of auction.
‘He is trying to look forward now. Clearing the house fills him with dread but he knows it is the first step toward closure.’

I think that this is a good idea but lots of people give the clothes of their loved ones to charity shops to raise money and whereas I could understand someone wanting clothes that had belonged to Princess Diana, I cannot understand anyone wanting those that Jade Goody has worn. I am sorry but there are lots of children that are left without a mum who has died prematurely but this has been developed in to a media circus and enough is enough, let's have a bit of a reality check here.

The more media attention the better I say, Jade could save thousands of lives by making her Cancer Battle public, early detection is what saves lives its not taking anything away from others that die prematurely, but if they had the chance to do what she bravly done Im sure they would have.

What a nice gesture but I hope it goes to Marie Curie instead of Cancer research due to the fact that after decades of 'research' on animals it has not provided any long term cures, in spite of curing cancer in mice, although naturally, cancer in mice is different to cancer in humans so thats hardly surprising. We need money putting into the already available and more relevant non animal research to find cures for people. Tesing on animals tells us about animals not humans!

and if she'd used contraception instead of getting pregnant within days of meeting Jeff then maybe there wouldn't be two young boys left without a mum.

Totally agree

To JJmooney-how did Jade know that she would get cervical cancer and leave her two boys without a mother. What a thoughtless comment

Had JJmooney and M.H's mums used contraception there would have been 2 less ignorant people in the world Jade loved her children and has not only provided for them she has raised thousands for cancer charities and increased awareness of cervical cancer which will save hundreds of lives I imagine that the most useful thing you that you could do would be stay in bed and not speak so ill of someone who can not defend herself and will be missed by many.

JJmooney and M.H's it is obvious that you have never lost someone close to you by cancer. With your thoughtless comments. What must her family feel when they read your comments?? I may not agree with what she has done but its not our place to judge her. She has been a great mother and her last actions was making sure they get the best in life. And she is the first person to make so many people relize what cancer can do to a person and family.
