Angelina Jolie has reportedly sparked fears over her eating habits on the set of Salt – by embarking on a liquid diet.

The gorgeous star is allegedly causing concern amongst the crew over the latest diet craze to hit the States: the liquid detox.

The actress – who's been snapped in a number of different wigs for her new role - aims to shed 21lb in just 21 days for her performance as a CIA officer unmasked as a Russian spy.

The diet, which involves living on a mixture of lemon juice, cayenne pepper and maple syrup, is leaving her weak, according to on-set leaks.

A source said: 'She does all her own stunts but we worry she could injure herself due to the weight loss.'

Angelina Jolie is not the only celebrity to have reportedly dabbled with extreme diets – Katie Holmes recently raised eyebrows when she reportedly adopted the Purification Rundown regime on the set of her latest film, too.

Does she really need to go on such a drastic diet, she has a good figure and does not need to do this to herself.

What is worse she give the idea that this is acceptable way to shred excess weight to young impressionable girls when really it's highly dangerous.

Angelina is very thin anyway, surely she would be too thin if she lost any more weight? It is no wonder we have so many young girls with anorexia, as women in the lime light are continually unhealthly thin.

I think we would all be surprised how many actresses do follow these diets to maintain such frail appearances. It is only when they are surrounded by a film crew that it is noticed and commented upon.
