Has Obama got the X Factor?

He’s conquered the world with his positive attitude, ability to generate enthusiasm and promises change for a generation.

But enough about Simon Cowell… now the music mogul claims President Barack Obama may appear on the X Factor.

Simon revealed that he is in talks with Obama’s people to secure a guest spot for the president on the British version of the talent-search show.

He confessed to the surprise guest on Christian O’Connell’s Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio on Sunday.

'We're trying to get him [Obama] to do a show at the moment,' he said.

The music guru said he was prompted to ask the president after Obama said all his critics were similar to Simon.

'He was on the Tonight Show talking about how everyone in Washington is a critic, and then he said, "Unfortunately, they’re all like Simon Cowell". I’m not sure it’s a compliment but it’s a name check,’ he said.

It’s not known when the US president will appear on the show, but until then, we’ve made a fun list of songs he might like to hear:
