Amy pleads not guilty to assault

Amy Winehouse yesterday pleaded not guilty to common assault.

The singer attended the City of Westminster Magistrate's Court, where she confirmed her name as Amy Jade Civil, her date of birth, and pleaded not guilty to the charge of common assault, brought on her from an incident last year when she allegedly punched a fan at one of her performances.

Winehouse was released on unconditional bail, and ordered to attend a new hearing at the same court on 23 July.

The Rehab singer has just returned from a two-month break in St. Lucia, and took her outing as an opportunity to show off her new fresh-faced look.

The 25-year-old stepped out in a spring florals minidress, with her radiant complexion giving her a healthier look than she’s shown in a long time.
