Jade too ill to see Shilpa Shetty

Jade Goody is too ill to see her Big Brother co-star Shilpa Shetty, despite the actress's hope to see Jade before she passes away.

Having buried the hatchet some time ago, Shetty was one of the guests invited to Jade's wedding two weeks ago, but was unable to attend due to prior filming commitments.

Now it seems, it's all too late.

'She is not well. Shilpa totally understands that,' Max Clifford told the BBC.

Jade and Shilpa put aside their differences, which blew up in the Celebrity Big Brother house back in 2007, to appear on the Indian version of Big Brother last year, with Shilpa the host and Jade one of the housemates.

It was while on the reality show that Jade learnt of her cervical cancer, leading to her returning home ahead of schedule and undergoing a gruelling round of surgery and chemotherapy.

Ultimately, however, the treatment was unsuccessful, with Jade's cancer spreading to her bowel, liver and groin.

Family and friends say she now has just days to live, but is staying strong right to the end.

In a column for New! Magazine, which was published this week, Jade wrote: 'I absolutely loved making every single one of my TV shows and I hope I've given you lots of laughs to remember me by.'

What a sad story! I feel real bad for Jade bt I guess atleast she enjoyed her shortlived fame and had two handsome children with the same dad. Shilpa Shetty should have tried her best to see Jade b4 she got worse, I guess it's too late now. Jade will be ok in the end, Angels will take care of her soul until end of the World that's for sure.
