Lily Allen kicked off her new tour this weekend in Glasgow, silencing her critics and wowing style commentators all in one go.

Lily opened the show in a cute LBD, but soon swapped into a gorgeous red Acne dress (we knew the label immediately having been eyeing up the very same dress on Net-a-Porter.com for the past two weeks), Ms Allen had the audience wrapped around her little finger thanks to the up-tempo beats, self-deprecating humour (you don't see Chris Martin moaning about losing his knickers thanks to her heavy mic pack) and general ability to have a good time.

Described by the Telegraph as 'Chas and Dave in heels', Lily giggled, danced and pranced her way through the set list, finding time for a third outfit change - into a slinky white catsuit - in-between the songs.

The biggest cheer of the evening? Not for an old hit, surprisingly, but new single The Fear.

Mind you, the evening didn't exactly end on a high note, after leaving the gig at the O2 Academy, Lily reportedly threw up on the pavement outside, in full view of waiting fans and photographers. Oops.

This is not factualy correct. She did not wear the red dress on stage. This is the second time I have commented on this story.
