Warrant out for Lohan's arrest

A warrant is out for Lindsay Lohan's arrest, but no one seems to know why.

According to reports in America, the warrant was issued at the Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, carrying a bail of $50,000.

Sergeant Mike Foxen who confirmed the news said he believed 'it has to do with her arrest for DUI', but had no other information.

The actress was arrested for drink driving after she crashed her Mercedes-Benz into a tree back in 2007, although lawyers acting for Lohan said issuing the new warrant was an error.

'The warrant issued on Friday was, in our view, born out of a misunderstanding which I am confident I can clear up next week,' Shawn Chapman Holley, Lindsay's attorney, told reporters.

A court hearing for the star has been arranged for today, although again Lindsay herself doesn't appear all too sure why.

'We don't know exactly what it's about. The court contacted the defence directly, not us,' a spokesperson said, adding it 'apparently has something to do with Ms. Lohan's probation'.
