How to get into ...

Britney's 50s-style get-up

By Carla Bevan  on Friday 13 March 2009

Britney Spears is transformed into a super-sweet 50s-style housewife in her new music video, but that hasn't stopped censorship groups in America getting all hot and bothered about the song itself.

If You Seek Amy, now known as If You See Amy, in an attempt to appease shocked parents who aren't at all happy to hear their little ones singing along to the X-rated lyrics, hit TV screens in the States yesterday.

As well as seeing Brit writhing around in very little (no big surprises there), the video also sees her dressed up as an all-American mom, complete with blonde curls and two adorable children.

I don't get this video AT ALL! I mean i quite like the song, but what is the relevance to suddenley dressing like a 50's mum? Yes of course she looks gorgeous, but the whole thing just left me confused

Not totally sure what this is about. Lately Brit's video's have featured punch-in-your-face sexuality (Circus, Womanizer), and the majority of this video is no different. I THINK the 50's mum thing is a twist on how we want our stars to present traditional values so we can consider them family-friendly. I don't fidn the words match the video content though. Bee-zar.

I dont get whats so controversial about this video? Nothing new from Brit, who is just continuing to try and shock us all. Bored.

i dont quite get the video, maybe she is 'amy' ? maybe amy is the britney with long hairr doing herr sexy look, & shes singing from the other peoples point of view, like there asking where amy is when shes being the innocent mum? doesnt make sense but i know what i mean (: good catchy song though.
