He’s done it again: John Mayer has dumped girlfriend Jennifer Aniston, according to reports.

It was only a couple of weeks ago that the pair put on a very public display of togetherness at the Oscars – where they could barely keep their hands off each other – and everyone believed it was a final confirmation that after a year of on-off dating, things were firmly on.

So it’s hard to believe things have gone pear-shaped already.

A source told People magazine: ‘They had some disagreements and decided to not continue to see each other.

‘Jen is moving on with her life like she always does. She seems happy.’

After the Oscars, Jen headed to Europe to embark on a Marley & Me promotional tour – and it’s thought Mayer called time on the relationship when she returned.

In the last few weeks, the former Friends star has been spending time with her close pal Courteney Cox Arquette and her yoga instructor-friend Mandy Ingber, while Mayer has been busy getting his new house ready and working in the studio.

This is not the first time Mayer has ended a romance with Jen. In August 2008 – after meeting at an Oscars 2008 party in February – he called it quits and held an impromptu press conference outside his gym, where he said: ‘I ended a relationship to be alone because I don't want to waste somebody's time if something's not right.’

How chivalrous.

But the couple did seem very happy together when they finally went public at the Oscars 2009, where John said he was there to offer moral support to Jen, who had to face her ex-partner Brad Pitt and his lover Angelina Jolie all in the same room together for the first time since their split four years ago.

But, perhaps tellingly, Jennifer recently told You magazine: ‘Whoever said that every relationship has to last forever?

‘That's hoping for too much.’

Surprise, surprise!
well are we really surprised after having said she was lowered her expectations!

A nice thing to say whilst in a relationship something of a kick in the teeth for John. I am sure it pleased him!

Maybe if her head was a little smaller she may think before opening her mouth.
But she is too set on publicity to think.

John is far better off without her!

she was probably just protecting herself with her comment girl ..

even if i am not jenn's real fan, i think this is really good for her. she seems to be cool girl.doing her thing and all. like many other women out there..

and he..well maybe hot n' cold song from katy perry would suit him the best:

He was arm-candy for the Oscars, I mean she couldnt face Brad n A alone - better to face the Ex and your replacement with another man! I dont think shell ever get over Brad

Jen is a very beautiful lady and is always discrete in what she says about others. She deserves someone who will treat her the way she deserves and all she gets are cretins who treat her like dirt!
