Colin Farrell is single once again after splitting with his girlfriend Emma Forrest.

The star, who won the Best Actor Golden Globe for his role in the film In Bruges last month, has been with English writer Emma Forrest for one year.

An insider has revealed that the split could be to do with Colin's lack of commitment.

The source said: 'He would not introduce her to his family. She was also upset that he didn’t thank her at the Golden Globe Awards.'

Emma has confirmed to US magazine In Touch that the pair have gone their separate ways, but it's thought they remain firm friends.

The Phone Booth actor was previously married to English actress Amelia Warner for four months and has a five-year-old son, James, from his brief romance to Canadian model Kim Bordenave.
