Madonna and Guy custody battle: back on

Madonna and Guy Ritchie are still reportedly locked in a war of words over where their children will be raised.

Despite claims all is amicable between them, the couple reportedly cannot resolve their differences over where the children are to be brought up.

Guy is still keen for Rocco, eight, and David, three, to be raised In Britain, while ‘furious’ Madonna insists it was part of their divorce settlement that they are based in New York.

The 50-year-old recently enrolled her sons in New York schools after winning a temporary residency battle to have them with her in the city.

Last night her spokesman insisted a custodial agreement was in place.

‘Madonna and Guy have resolved all issues  relating to the children and all is amicable,’ he said.

But Guy – who is reportedly looking for an apartment in New York to be nearer to his sons – is not happy about the arrangement becoming permanent.

A source told the Daily Mail: ‘Guy doesn’t want a broken family but ideally he wants the boys in British schools and Madonna is furious as she thinks he is reneging on their deal.

‘It has all been billed as amicable, but it is far from it.

'There have been some pretty unsavoury screaming matches about it.’

Meanwhile, Guy is said to be concerned over Madonna’s recent steamy photo shoot in W magazine with new toyboy Jesus Luz.

‘Guy is concerned the kids will get teased and he thinks it’s tasteless that she’s flaunting herself with another man all over a magazine,’ the source adds.

Madonna doesn’t seem to fazed about it – and news that she was 2008’s highest earning musician – pulling in a total of £172 million – is sure to have cheered her even more.

A nude picture of the Queen of Pop – taken when she was 20 – also sold for £26,000 at Christie’s auction house yesterday.
