Keira Knightley youngest actress to make most 'bankable star' list

Keira Knightley is the youngest Hollywood actress to appear on the Forbes 'most bankable stars' list.

The 23-year-old earned her place in the list thanks to her role as Elizabeth Swann in the Pirates of the Caribbean films, which have grossed $2.6 billion at the worldwide box office.

The top 100 'most bankable stars' list is determined by factors such as box office success, a star's ability to attract financing and guarantee cinema distribution, and whether or not their name alone is enough to pull in film fans.

Keira came 42nd in the 14,000-strong list.

Will Smith was number one on the list, with one film producer saying: 'He has shown, time and again, that, in today's world, regardless of the material, people want to watch Will Smith.'

Johnny Depp came second in the list, followed by Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie in third and fourth place respectively.

Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks, George Clooney, Denzel Washington, Matt Damon and golden oldie Jack Nicholson completed the top 10.
