Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt enjoy pre-Bafta curry

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt showed how down to earth they are by shunning London's top-notch eateries and opting for a cheap and cheerful pre-Bafta curry.

The ultra-glam couple were staying at the Dorchester but decided against eating at the hotel's expensive Alain Ducasse restaurant, instead they headed to Noor Jahan, an Indian restaurant in South Kensington, where meals cost around £20 per head.

Shauyab Ahmed, part-owner of the restaurant, said: 'They booked a table for 12 at 7.30pm and were a bit late arriving, but that was OK.

'The other customers loved it and were very happy to see them.'

And Brangelina weren't the only A-listers at the table, they brought along supermodel Claudia Schiffer and her film director husband Matthew Vaughn, as well as Robert Downey Junior.

The famous group munched on a feast of vegetable samosas, tandoori lamb chops and the house special, lamb passanda.

Mr Ahmed said: 'Matthew comes in here all the time with Claudia.

'He loves the lamb passanda, he always has that. Brad and Angelina seemed to love the food, too. They ate it all.'

And it seemed Brad and Ange wanted a low-key evening ahead of all the madness of the Baftas.

'Some of the staff asked them for autographs, but they didn't want to give them,' added Mr Ahmed.

'They just wanted to chat, so we didn't take photographs.'

Meanwhile, Brangelina's kids were running riot in the super-plush Dorchester hotel, where they had booked almost the entire third floor.

Maddox, seven, Pax, five, Zahara, three, and two-year-old Shiloh had been told they could play outside in the corridor under the supervision of their nanny.

But other guests weren't amused.

One moaned: 'They were running up and down the hallway for over an hour.
