Nicole Kidman gets her own stamp

Australia sure loves its A-list stars. So much so, it’s honouring Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Russell Crowe and Geoffrey Rush with their own national stamp.

Down Under’s biggest exports will actually have not one, but two stamps each.

One will feature a professional portrait shot of the stars, while another will see them in their most notable roles, such as Cate in Elizabeth and Crowe in Gladiator.

 

On receiving the special honour, Nicole said: ‘Something like this – when you see your face on a stamp – says, “wow”.’

She added that one day her kids might be able to ‘lick a stamp, put it on an envelope and say, “That's my mum”.’  

And Cate Blanchett said she felt ‘utterly, deeply humbled and chuffed’ by such an honour, joking: ‘I'm going to be licked by millions of Australians and I can't wait.’
