Victoria Beckham the new X Factor judge?

Victoria Beckham is in 'advanced talks' to join The X Factor as a new judge, according to reports.

The show's boss is thought to have offered the Spice Girl £1 million to join Cheryl Cole on the judging panel.

Cowell reportedly wants to replace Dannii Minogue before the new series starts this autumn.

Mrs Beckham has reportedly been approached by Cowell before for the position, but has wanted to remain focused on the commitments to her life in LA.

With reports hinting at David Beckham transferring to Milan full-time, where he's currently on loan at AC Milan, Victoria is thought to be changing her mind.

Encouraged by the success Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole has achieved on the show, she thinks it could be a positive showbiz move.

And, despite Cheryl's recent comments that Posh's fashion line is 'too old' for her, the pair are reported to be good friends.

'She doesn't want to come back to Europe with her tail between her legs. But if she can return here to be on The X Factor, then that is different,' a source told the Daily Mail.

Simon Cowell's spokesman, Max Clifford, said of the move: 'Simon speaks very highly of Victoria. I know he likes her a lot. [But] this deal has not been mentioned to me.'

Fingers crossed it's true – we think it could be pure TV gold.

IS SIMON COWELL 'OUT OF HIS MIND'. WHAT A FARCE IT WILL BE. I HAVE WATCHED EVERY SEASON OF X-FACTOR, AMERICAN IDOL.

THE TV RATINGS MAY GO UP FOR A WHILE JUST FOR CURIOSITY REASONS TO SEE VICTORIA BECKHAM ON THERE - BUT I THINK IT'LL BE BAD FOR HER AND TRAGIC FOR US. SHE HAS NO TALENT IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS OR ANYTHING ELSE REALLY - IT'S ONLY BECAUSE OF DAVID BECKHAM THAT SHE IS FAMOUS THESE DAYS AND ALL THE MEDIA HYPE SURROUNDING THEM

WHAT ADVICE IS SHE ACTUALLY GOING TO GIVE TO THE CONTESTANTS - WHEN SHE WAS HOPELESS HERSELF. THE ONLY REASON SHE GOT IN THE SPICE GIRLS - SHE WAS PRETTY WITH NICE LEGS - NOT HER MUSICAL TALENT.

I THINK IT MIGHT BE TIME FOR ME TO TUNE OFF IF SHE JOINS.

I think it's a bad idea! What talent does she really have that would suggest she has the ability to be a good judge of others? After all, without David she would have long dissapered by now, she certainly wasn't the spice girls strongest bow! And her solo career was a great flop, David has enabled her to remain in the public eye, and without the wealth she would never have got her fashion line off the ground! Cheryl Cole has far more talent, and I always thought Danni was a terrible, talentless choice too.

What a big joke - "Posh" is talentless herself - should leave her in America. She will ruin the show. I have always admired Simon Cowell but what a mistake this would be to one of the best shows on T.V.!!!!! NO NO NO

remind us! who had the worst solo career out of the spice girls? and she thinks she has the right to sit there and criticise other people's singing! would rather see geri,emma or mel c in that chair someone with past experience, stick to fashion love!

What does she know about talent she is only interested in herself and should walk with her head up her backside, that would improve her image. If Simon wants his ratings to go down then put her on the show and bring on Strickly Come Dancing.

Why all the negativity!? I must admit I thought the same thing about Cheryl - 'what does she know about spotting talent besides being in a reality tv show herself' - but Cheryl did great (and I ate my words!). I say let's see what Victoria is like and give her a chance. I believe having Victoria on the show would be fun. She will stick up for herself like the other judges, and it's another person to wind Simon up!
