Ugly Betty to be scrapped?
Ugly Betty is heading for hit show heaven, according to US reports.
The love affair with Betty Suarez and her life at fashion mag Mode has reportedly slumped from 8 million viewers to 3.6 million this season.
E! Online reports the show – which stars America Ferrera in the starring role and is produced by Salma Hayek – is to be shelved from its prime-time slot on 26 March to make way for a new series of Christina Applegate's Samantha Who? and a new comedy called Motherhood.
Golden Globe-winning Betty was an instant hit when it first aired in 2006, and has been a mainstream must-see ever since.
Sadly, it looks like it might have already had its heyday. Boo!

What a shame! I blame the writers strike -
no-one knew when it would be back on screen and I think they forgot about it

I absolutely love Ugly Betty and really hope they don't stop it! It's one of the few shows on TV which actually has the 'feel good factor' and always manages to cheer me up. Long live Betty and Daniel! :D
