George Clooney returns to ER

It's time to swoon again, ladies, George Clooney has finally agreed to don his sexy scrubs for one last time as ER's Doug Ross, according to US reports.

Clooney catapulted to fame in the hit NBC show as the eye-poppingly gorgeous Dr. Doug Ross in 1994.

He last appeared on the show in a 2000 cameo role in a lake scene with his on-screen ex Carol, played by Juliana Marguilies.

And now ER co-creator John Wells has got his wish – and persuaded Clooney to return for the 15th – and final – season, according to People magazine.

It's not known how many episodes he'll feature in – and NBC, Warner Bros and Clooney's rep were all keeping tight-lipped.

Just one would be enough for us!
