Baftas: Winslet nominated twice for best actress

Kate Winslet faces stiff competition for the Best Actress award at the Baftas – from herself!

The, now, Golden Globe-winning actress has been nominated twice in the category for Revolutionary Road and The Reader.

Three of the women she beat, and mentioned in her cringe-inducing acceptance speech at the Golden Globes, have also been named: Angelina Jolie, Meryl Streep and Kristin Scott Thomas.

Among the other nominations is the critically-acclaimed Slumdog Millionaire and Brad Pitt's The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, which are both up for 11 Baftas each.

The Baftas give a good indication of who could be up for an Oscar next month, so all eyes will be on the star-studded ceremony, to be held on 8 February.
