Naomi Campbell settles in maid case

By Lucy Hutchings  on Friday 16 January 2009

Naomi Campbell has reached a settlement with her former maid, Gaby Gibson, who'd taken legal action against the supermodel.

Miss Gibson filed a lawsuit in November 2006 against the notoriously fiery model, claiming that she had hit her, threatened to charge her with theft, and called her offensive names. She had worked for Campbell for one year at the time.

Speaking on the lawsuit, Miss Gibson's lawyer referred to Campbell as a 'violent super-bigot.'

Campbell's lawyer has denied all claims, but an undisclosed settlement has now been reached, with both parties reportedly pleased with the outcome.

This is not the first time that Campbell's anger issues have got her in trouble with the law.

She was taken to court by another former maid, after hitting her over the head with a mobile phone.

The case resulted in the model being ordered by the court to attend anger management classes, and to do community service.

She was back in court again last year, after allegedly kicking and spitting at police officers at Heathrow airport. She received 200 hours community service for the offence.
