Britney Spears, celebrity news, Marie Claire

She’s slimmer, sharper and more stylish than ever – and now Britney Spears is ready to move on from her old home life, too.

The star has left behind her six-bedroom $7.1 million home in LA – the setting for her overwhelming meltdown – to make a fresh start in a lavish $9 million mansion.

Writing on her website, an excited Britney said: 'I just took my babies to our new home and they loved it. I can't wait to move in.'

Chateau Suenos is located in an exclusive gated community in the Calabasas area of LA.

Britney will be renting the house while she builds a new home nearby.

And she will be living in unabated luxury while she waits, as the house features: the finest limestone interiors, a large soundproof cinema, elevators with stone mosaic flooring, a library tower, and an underground garage with two auto lifts.

Not only that, the master bedroom includes a separate designer dressing room, with clothes, shoe and bag storage.

And when she’s getting ready, Britney can head to her custom bathroom suite, with a dry sauna, steam shower and bath that extends on to a balcony spanning across the rear of the estate.

Yeah. Suppose it'll do for a stop-gap.
