Official: Gisele Bundchen engaged

After weeks of debate as to the status of their relationship, it’s been reported that Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady have finally made a decision: they are engaged.

The genetically-blessed couple made the commitment at the weekend in LA, after the the American football player got down on one knee and proposed with a diamond solitaire.

A source told People magazine: ‘He asked and she accepted.

'The couple is discussing a huge fashionista event in the spring or a more intimate and quicker ceremony in Costa Rica, where Gisele has a home.'

Bundchen's spokesperson said: 'We don't comment on our clients' private lives.’

The 28-year-old Brazilian model started dating Brady, 31, in December 2006 – just weeks after the New England Patriots quarterback ended his three-year relationship with Sex and the City actress, Bridget Moynahan.

Just a few weeks into his relationship with Bundchen, Brady learned that Bridget was pregnant with his child.

She gave birth to their son John Edward Thomas Moynahan in August 2007.

Phew! Let’s hope the marriage is a little less complicated.
