Travolta to be ‘interviewed’ over son’s death
By Ruth Doherty on Wednesday 7 January 2009
Devastated John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston will reportedly be interviewed as part of the investigation into the death of their son.
Jett, 16, died on 2 January after suffering a seizure in the bathroom of the family’s Bahamas holiday home.
Lawyers for the family reportedly told gossip website TMZ that Jett had suffered the attacks since childhood, and that he’d stopped taking his anti-seizure medication after questions arose over their efficacy.
Michael Ossi and Michael McDermott said John and Kelly had decided to stop giving him Depakote because it had become less effective at preventing his convulsions.
According to the Daily Star, police will question Travolta, 54, and Preston, 46, about their son’s medication as a routine part of their inquiries.
Jett had been diagnosed with Kawasaki Syndrome, a vascular illness that leads to inflamed blood vessels. Travolta’s brother, Joey, an autism campaigner, allegedly expressed concern that Jett suffered from autism, but his parents insist he did not.
A post mortem showed that Jett was killed by a seizure, and not by hitting his head on the bath tub as he fell.
Travolta reportedly attempted the kiss of life on his son for 20 minutes before parademics took over, and clasped his son’s hand pleading ‘please son, come on’.
The heartbroken Pulp Fiction star reportedly flew the cremated ashes of his son back to Florida yesterday.

My heart goes out to John and his family, my sister died in 2006 from a seizure and such a young age, its heartbreaking. The last thing they need right now is this, the blame and mental torture they must be going through already is unthinkable.
My sister had seizures for 26 years of her life, every day, we have to find confort in that this could have happened the very first time, we have to believe we are lucky to have had the wonderful 26 years that we did. I'm sure John and Kelly will find some comfort in that later.

Hi:
I feel so bad for John & his family, there is so much love between Jett and his family. It is not easy being a pioneer with a rare disorder, I have a son that has two rare disorders and I thank Him, (Casey) for every moment. In the pictures of the family you can see the love & excellent care that they gave him. My thoughts are with you all!
