Leona Lewis to pen autobiography at 23

Leona Lewis

She may only be 23 but X Factor winner Leona Lewis is set to pen her autobiography, charting her fairytale story from pizza waitress to global singing superstar.

Two years on from being crowned the winner of the talent show, Leona will share the highs and lows of her rise to fame in the book, which will hit shelves in October.

Lewis admitted her meteoric rise to global status has been ‘an unbelievable experience’.

‘To have it documented in pictures and to be able to tell people in my own words how it feels means a lot to me.’

She added: ‘I know the book will be full of special moments and I’m already having a brilliant time putting it together.’

The book will include over 100 behind-the-scenes photographs, shot by celeb photographer Dean Freeman, who has worked with a host of stars including David Beckham, George Michael and the Spice Girls.

Since her X Factor success, the songstress has sold more than five million copies of her album, Spirit, and her single Bleeding Love was iTunes’ biggest seller of last year.

And as if that weren’t enough, since her humble Hackney beginnings, Lewis has had number one singles and albums in more than 20 countries, and became the first British woman to debut at number one in the US album chart.
