Travolta son death: Cause revealed
By Ruth Doherty on Tuesday 6 January 2009
Jett Travolta’s death was cased by a ‘seizure disorder’, according to People magazine.
The 16-year-old son of John Travolta died last Friday 2 January after suffering a seizure while on holiday in the Bahamas.
Doctors thought he may have hit his head on a bath tub as he fell, however, although no official results have been disclosed, a source close to John and his wife Kelly Preston revealed the cause of death as ‘seizure disorder’.
Paramedic Marcus Garvey said Jett had a bump on his forehead and was bleeding from the mouth.
He told The Sun: ‘He was unconscious, with no respiratory function or pulse. John and Kelly were on the scene at all times.
‘They were concerned and asking, “Is he getting there, are they helping him, is anything happening, is he breathing?”
‘Kelly asked, “Are we getting him back. Is he coming back?” I said, “We’re still trying”.’
Doctors in the Bahamas conducted an autopsy on the Pulp Fiction actor’s son on Monday.
According to The Sun, a funeral home director from the family’s home of Florida said Jett’s cremated ashes were to be flown back today.
It was suggested that John – a trained pilot – wants to personally fly his son home on his final journey.
