While rumours abound that Madonna is a) enjoying a relationship with Alex Rodriguez, and b) seeing a hot Latino lover, Ritchie is said to be consoling himself with a new love of his own: Jemima Khan.

The millionaire heiress and the Sherlock Holmes director enjoyed an evening together earlier this month at the home of public relations honcho Matthew Freud and his wife Elisabeth Murdoch, daughter of media mogul Rupert Murdoch.

Also in attendance was Trudie Styler, the wife of Sting, who first introduced Guy to Madonna at a dinner party in 1998.

She must have been shooting Cupid’s bow again, because the pair made the most of the party season this weekend, too, by returning to the Freuds’ home for a few more festive drinks, where they rubbed shoulders with other Christmas revellers like Stella and Mary McCartney, Lily Allen, Mick Jagger and Kevin Spacey.

Simon Cowell also headed to the party and, reportedly, had an eye for Khan himself – but looks like he was just that a little too late.
