Rachel Weisz to play Catwoman

Rachel Weisz is set to don the slinky leather all-in-one to play the sexy Catwoman in the next Batman movie, it's been revealed.

The gorgeous actress will follow in the footsteps of Michelle Pfeiffer, who sizzled as the foxy feline in 1992's Batman Returns.
 
And joining the Blueberry Nights star in the new cast line-up is Eddie Murphy as the Riddler.

Director Christopher Nolan has signed up the funnyman to reprise the role played by Jim Carey in 1995's Batman Forever.

The film, tentatively titled Gotham and set for a 2010 release, will also see Indiana Jones star Shia LaBeouf play Batman's sidekick Robin, while Christian Bale will return as the caped crusader once more, along with Michael Caine as his assistant, Alfred.

It was announced months ago in the U.S. that Johnny Depp will be playing the Riddler and Thomas Seymour Hoffman will be playing the Penguin in the next Batman movie.
