FIRST LOOK: Ellen Degeneres CoverGirl ad

Ellen Degeneres has officially become the face of beauty brand CoverGirl with the unveiling of their new ad campaign.
The print and TV ads for CoverGirl and Olay's newest product, Simply Ageless Foundation, will be out for all to see in January 2009, but here at marieclaire.co.uk we thought we'd give you a sneaky peak.
By choosing the 50-year-old chat show host to front the commercials, the beauty brand appear to have strayed away from their previous, more conventional, models such as Rihanna and Drew Barrymore.
The Emmy award-winner is super-excited to have been chosen for the campaign, for which she is thought to have been paid a six-figure sum.
'I’m thrilled to be a CoverGirl,' Ellen told People magazine. 'I’ve been practicing in my bathroom mirror for year… Now finally, you’ll all be able to see it.'
