Ramsay jokes about affair

Marie Claire Celebrity News: Gordon Ramsay and Tana Ramsay

Gordon Ramsay hasn't lost his sense of humour; despite being splashed across tabloid front pages this week, he was all jokes at a live cookery demonstration in Birmingham yesterday.

Telling a standing-room-only crowd of around 2,000 people he was on his best behaviour due to family members being present, 'along with half of the News Of The World' (the paper which broke the affair claims), Gordon also cracked jokes about his 'roasted plums' while demonstrating a recipe for caramelised fruit.

He also referenced Delia Smith's book How to Cheat at Cooking, saying: 'She gave me a book about how to cheat - but I didn't think anything of it at the time.'

Wife Tana was also at the BBC Good Food Show, signing copies of her own cookery book, and neither party appeared unduly concerned about the gossip and rumours surrounding their marriage.

In fact, the couple have just splashed out on a new bed, and Gordon was keen for everyone to know he won't be sleeping in it alone.

'We had a new bed delivered this week - the paparazzi outside must have been thinking that I'd been forced to sleep in the basement,' he laughed.

'Mattress/Mistress. Mattress/Mistress. What a load of bu******'.
