Britney Spears fans, gets your diaries at the ready, as the pop princess has confirmed her long-awaited comeback tour.

Stopping in Europe for just two dates, the star will play London's O2 Arena on 3 and 4 June next year.

Tickets will be released for general sale on 5 December, but fans that have pre-registered will have the chance to bag them the day before.

Pre-sale tickets can be obtained by fans who register on Britneyspears.com, or text BRITNEY to 81707 to be registered. Everyone who registers will receive a unique passcode which will enable them to purchase tickets on 4 December.

With her comeback in full swing, Britney will be the star guest on this weekend's X Factor, which will be her first UK TV appearance in five years.

Her sixth album, Circus, is released on Monday, to coincide with her 27th birthday.
