SATC sequel filming next year
Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed that filming is set to begin on the Sex and the City sequel in mid 2009.
It's the news we've all been waiting for, and now the actress who plays the Manolo Blahnik-wearing Carrie Bradshaw has confirmed she and co-stars Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will be reunited in a matter of months.
'I think shooting next summer is a realistic timetable,' says SJP.
'That’s when we’d start shooting to be out in 2010. But that means we need to figure this out in the next couple of months.'
But what's in store for our favourite Manhattan ladies? Even SJP doesn't know.
'We've had very general conversations about the idea. That’s the big hurdle: the idea,' she admits.
'We're at the place where the writer and director, Michael Patrick King, has a wealth of stories so now it's, "We think we have this story and how do we put this together and are we completely sure that it’s the right thing to do?"'
Of course, the next question on everyone's lips is, now that Carrie has managed to get the dashing Mr Big up the aisle, will we be seeing her strutting around in the latest designer maternity wear?
'It doesn't seem as if that’s going to be a choice she'll make,' says Sarah Jessica.
'I don't know. Michael and I never talk about it. That doesn't mean that won't be part of the story. We just haven't figured it out.'
'It feels a little bit manipulative to toss that into the mix, because she seems so pointed in a different direction.'
It's almost too much excitement to take!

I really liked the SATC movie, it was fun and didn't take itself too seriously, but was also quite serious and moving. If they are going to go ahead with a sequel I hope they do it right!
