STRICTLY: Jodie Kidd gets the boot

Marie Claire Celebrity news: Jodie Kidd

Strictly Come Dancing bid a final farewell to another two contestants on Saturday night, Jodie Kidd and John Sergeant.

Supermodel Jodie Kidd and her partner, Ian Waite, were voted off after finding themselves up against Lisa Snowdon in the dreaded dance-off.

Despite all four of the judges choosing to save Lisa and her partner, Brendan Cole, the panel all claimed it was an extremely hard decision.

'Two amazing performances,' said Bruno Tonioli, 'but one was brilliant, and that was Lisa and Brendan.'

After the decision Jodie raved about her fantastic experience on the show, 'I've had such a fabulous time,' she said.

'I've made some beautiful friends, it's been brilliant. I see Ian as my brother from another mother.'

Meanwhile, John Sergeant performed an emotionally-charged final waltz to Come Away With Me by Norah Jones at the end of the show.

The dramatic farewell dance saw John's partner, Kristina Rihanoff, in tears as she said her goodbyes to the 'dancing pig.'

John Sergeant controversially quit the show earlier in the week after the public continued to vote him in, despite repeated harsh criticism from the judges.

Five celebrities are now left to battle it out to be the dancing champion: Austin Healy, Christine Bleakley, Rachel Stevens, Lisa Snowdon and Tom Chambers.
